Desh Bhagat Institute of Hotel Managment ,Mandi Gobindgarh has achieved a milestone in GHRDC(Global Human Resource Development Centre) with regard to Ranking of Top Hotal Managment Institutes in India Survey 2014 in Parameter like Excellence in Infrastructure,Faculty,Admission and Placements. This was disclosed by Chairman of Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes, Dr. Zora Singh in a statement to the press. He said that like the previous years, this year too the Competition Success Review has conducted Hotel Management  College Survey -2013 and Desh Bhagat Institute of Hotel Management has got this distinction in this survey.

 

Prof. Shalini Gupta, Director General, has congratulated the Amit Sachdeva Principal Desh Bhagat Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and the whole staff on this achievement, saying that this has become possible due to the able leadership of the faculty. She said that Desh Bhagat Group has so far arranged jobs for more than 3500 students and for this purpose a separate placement cell has been established. This cell helps the students in getting suitable jobs by co-ordinating with national and international companies. The alumni of Desh Bhagat group also makes its contribution in securing good jobs for their juniors. She further explained that the above survey is conducted by collecting data from business schools as per the criteria laid down for the purpose. Such surveys prove quite useful for the organisation in finding suitable candidates for different jobs. While selecting candidates, these organisations set their from those own standards and then select candidates from those institutes which come up to those standards. These standards include the general reputation of the institution, its ranking, the standards used by it at the time of admission, field of specialisation, alumni record, capacity of the employers to pay salaries and allowances and the competence of the faculty. It is worth mentioning that during the last year over 150 companies participated in the job fairs organised by the institute and selected a large number of students for various jobs.
